The Division’s HR team handles labour law issues, coordination of the Department’s salary review, executive training and redundancies, and works with both rehabilitation and initiatives to reduce sick leave.
The HR and Secretariat Division is also responsible for the secretariat function serving the City District Council, which includes registry, archival issues and caretaker services.
The Finance Division’s general brief is to support the Council, the executive team and heads of unit.
The Division is responsible for coordinating the Department’s work with ILS (integrated management system), which not only includes internal control and operational follow-up, but also assists the executive team with investigative support.
The Division’s team of controllers is responsible for the Department’s accounting and financial statements, coordination of the Department’s budget work and follow-up.
The Division coordinates the Department’s facilities-related issues, energy efficiency, security work and procurement support. The Division is also responsible for strategic IT and telephony issues.
Municipal preschools in Skarpnäck are organised under four preschool units within the city district area. These units represent the city districts in the area, and each has a compulsory school in their local area, with which they collaborate during the transition to preschool class. The Preschool Department is responsible for the supervision and licensing of independent preschools.
In addition to educational preschool activities, the Preschool and Leisure Division is responsible for managing the childcare waiting list and summer camps. The Division has open activities in the form of park playgrounds, recreation centres, open preschools and introductory preschools. The Division is also responsible for the operation of the Skarpnäck Cultural Centre.
The Individual and Family Support Division is responsible for providing support and protection for children, young people and adults, including support and service needs as a consequence of disabilities, as well as financial assistance, rent counselling, budget and debt counselling, and labour market measures.
The Division meets the needs of children, young people and their parents for support and treatment in the home environment.
Individual and Family Support in Skarpnäck is organised under four units.
There are six units within the Elderly Care Division. The Purchaser Unit is responsible for the exercising of public authority, Norra Skarpnäck and Södra Skarpnäck Municipal Home Care Units provide home care services, and the Home for the Elderly is a care and nursing home with two units: somatic care and dementia.
The open meeting places for the elderly offer free activities for those aged 65+, with a focus on social interaction, culture and movement.
