When you apply for and participate in adult education, we process and transmit personal data about you. Personal data means any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a living person.
What data do we process about you?
In addition to the information you provide when you apply for adult education, we obtain your address from the Swedish Tax Agency’s National Population Register and we process information that arises during the course of your studies, such as your study results or the information that arises if you need support during your studies. Sometimes we may also need to process sensitive personal data (health).
The purpose of processing your personal data
We are a public authority and when you apply for adult education, personal data is required to ensure that decisions are made on a legally secure basis, both in the application, admission and implementation of the studies. Some personal data may also need to be used to monitor, evaluate and improve adult learning programs.
Sensitive personal data in the form of health information is sometimes registered in order to offer the right training adapted to the individual's circumstances.
Legal basis for processing personal data
In order to process personal data about you, we need to rely on a legal basis. In adult education, the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest and in the exercise of official authority vested in the personal data controller (Article 6.1 e of the GDPR and Chapter 2, Section 2 of the Data Protection Act).
Who do we share your data with?
The people who process your personal data are employees of the Public Employment Service. If you are admitted to a course or programme, your personal data will be disclosed to the education provider (school) where you will study.
The data is disclosed to the Swedish Board of Student Finance, Statistics Sweden and the Swedish Council for Higher Education. Personal data is also passed on to our IT suppliers and collaboration and contractual partners.

Is something incorrect or do you want to change something?
You have the right to request rectification, for example to correct inaccurate data about you or to supplement incomplete data. The purpose of processing your personal data
The purpose of processing personal data within Jobbtorg is to be able to give the right person the opportunity and conditions to find work and an occupation. Personal data is also needed to enable people to apply for and be offered individualized interventions.
Sensitive personal data in the form of health information is registered so that we will be able to offer the right labor market measures that are adapted to the individual and the individual's own conditions. Financial data are registered first so that we will be able to pay benefits (if applicable). When individuals are hired, the employer takes over these data and becomes a data controller with legal grounds and legal obligations under law and collective agreements.

These can be other tenderers (in the case of public procurement), other contractors (if needed to coordinate different contractual relationships or assignments), referees or contact persons (in the case of recruitment), system administrators (if one of the SRB's computer systems is used for the processing).
