The City of Stockholm's debt

The City of Stockholm had, as of 31 of July 2025, an external debt of 84.8 billion SEK. During 2026, the debt has grown with 3.1 billion SEK.

The external net debt of the city as of 31 of July 2026 amounts to 83 520 million SEK, an increase of 1 652 million SEK during the year. 

The average remaining life of the external debt was 1,82 years as of 31 of July 2026.

Existing programmes and confirmed credit lines means that the city can secure both financing and good liquidity management both in short and long term.
