The City of Stockholm's debt

The City of Stockholm had, as of 31 of August 2025, an external debt of 85,3 billion SEK. During 2025, the debt has grown with 1,8 billion SEK.

The external net debt of the city as of 31 of August 2025 amounts to 79  092 million SEK, an increase of 1 209 million SEK during the year. 

The average remaining life of the external debt was 2,03 years as of 31 of August 2025.

Existing programmes and confirmed credit lines means that the city can secure both financing and good liquidity management both in short and long term.
